Unlockable difficulties
Unlock the following difficulties by performing the corresponding tasks:
Chaos difficulty – Complete musou mode with 1 character from wu, shu, wei.
Hell difficulty – Complete wei, wu, shu, and other musou mode.
Master difficulty – Complete any musou mode on easy or normal.
Very Hard difficulty – Complete musou mode with any 1 character.
Unlocking Yuan Shao easily
Play the Battle Of Guan Du scenario as the Cao Cao force. Yan Jin and Bai Ma must not fall. You will need a strong character that can defeat enemies quickly. Make sure to have Renbu Bag, a long Musou gauge, and a fast warhorse. The enemy officers will try to siege Bai Ma and Yan Jin at the same time. Move between them as fast as possible to aid the guards. If either falls at any time during the battle the target is a failure. Keep the enemy back and defeat Yuan Shao as quickly as possible.
Alternate costume
To unlock a character’s alternate costume, reach level 25 with that character.
Movie player
To unlock the movie player, beat Musou mode with any character.
Voice galleries
To unlock a character’s voice gallery, reach level 50 with that character.
Extra experience from officers
Make use of your grapple attacks. Doing this will get you more experience.

Unlock the following characters by performing the corresponding tasks:
Cao Cao – Finish musou mode with three wei characters.
Cao Pi – Beat cao pi in less than five minutes on the wu side of he fei.
Cao Ren – Finish Battle Objective 2 on the lu bu side of fan castle.
Diao Chan – Finish musou mode with one character from each kingdom.
Dong Zhuo – Finish musou mode as lu bu.
Gan Ning – Finish musou mode as a wu character.
Guan Ping – Finish battle objective 2 on the shu side of fan castle and finish the battle with guan ping surviving.
Huang Gai – Finish battle objective 3 on the wu side of The battle of chi bi.
Huang Zhong – Finish battle objective 1 on the wei side of ding jun mountain.
Ling Tong – Finish battle objective 1 on the wei side of the battle of shi ting.
Liu Bei – Finish musou mode with three shu characters.
Lu Bu – Finish musou mode with liu bei, cao cao, dio chan and sun jian.
Lu Meng – Finish battle objective 2 on the wei side of he fei.
Ma Chao – Finish battle objective 2 on the wei side of han zhong attack defense battle.
Pang Tong – Finish battle objective 3 at cheng du battle and finish the battle with pang tong surviving.
Sun Ce – Finish battle objective 1 on the sun jian side of the battle of xia pi.
Sun Jian – Finish musou mode with three wu characters.
Sun Quan – Finish battle objective 1 on the lu bu side of The battle of chi bi.
Taishi Ci – Beat taishi ci in the battle for wu territory.
Wei Yan – Finish battle objective 2 on the shu side of wu zhang plains and finish the battle with wei yan surviving.
Xiahou Yuan – Finish battle objective 1 on the shu side of ding jun mountain.
Xiao Quio – Finish battle objective 3 on the wu side of the battle of shi ting.
Xu Huang – Finish battle objective 2 on the wei or wu side of fan castle.
Xu Zhu – On he fei on the wu side, personally destroy cao ren and xu chu.
Yue Ying – Finish battle objective 1 on the wei side of the battle of wu zhang plains.
Zhang Jiao – Beat zhang jiao in the yellow turban rebellion.
Zhang Liao – Finish musou mode as a Wei character.
Zhen Ji – Finish battle obective 1 on xu du invasion battle, lu bu scenario.
Zheng He – Finish battle objective 2 on the shu side of han zhong attack defense battle.
Zhou Tai – Finish battle objective 3 on the shu side of yi ling.
Zhuge Liang – Finish musou mode with a shu character.
