Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 Cheats, Hints and Tips

Prequel Bonus
Have a saved game file from the original Mass Effect on your hard drive, and use that profile in Mass Effect 2 to receive the following bonuses:

- Experience Points (amount based on your previous level)
- Resources (can be used for weapon and armor upgrades)
- Paragon and Renegade Points (you will receive a bonus if you have the maximum amount of either Paragon or Renegade points)

New Game+ Bonuses
Beat the game, and start a new game with the cleared saved game file to start with the following bonuses:

- Choose your Loyalty Bonus Skill from the start.
- Retain Skill Points but can redistribute them.
- Retain level and XP carry over; the max level is 30.
- +25% experience bonus for all characters
- Renegade/Paragon points are reset to neutral.
- Retain weapons and armor, but not the upgrades.

Loyalty Mission Bonuses
To unlock hidden Loyalty skills and alternate colors for your party member’s costumes, beat the Loyalty missions each party member gives you.

Comedic Surveying Responses
Go to the Local Cluster and proceed to survey Uranus. Instead of the usual ‘Probe Launched,’ the voice will instead make Uranus jokes such as ‘Probing Uranus’ or ‘Really Commander?’

Quicker Mining
To mine quicker, do not hold LT while scanning a planet. Instead, repeatedly tap LT until a blip appears on the scanner. Then, go back over the area while holding LT to find the best location to send the probe.

Extra Paragon and Renegade Points
To gain extra Paragon points during conversations, press LT when wings appear at the top left of the screen. To gain extra Renegade points, press RT when a star appears.

Easy Paragon and Renegade points
To easily gain Paragon and Renegade points, you must first unlock training to be able to redistribute your skill points. Talent Mastery will add a certain percentage to your Paragon and Renegade points. Respec and distribute them into your Mastery repeatedly until your Paragon and Renegade are full.

Easy mining planets
There are three “Rich” mining planets with lots of materials. Go to the Micah system in the Vallhallan Threshold, and look for the three planets in the asteroids. Move the pointer to the left or right of the planet you wish to scan. Press Left Analog-stick and Right Analog-stick in the same direction to double the spin speed of the planet and allow you to locate resources on the grid line quickly.

Dr. Pepper bonuses
To unock the Dr. Pepper bonus items, go to http://www.drpepper.com/promotions/ea/signin/, and register for an account. You can register three different accounts to redeem three different codes and get each bonus item. Enter one of the following redemption codes, and select the “No Purchase” option:

CBEEAAA41NWH
CBEEAAAE4L9N
CBEEAAAFQG9J
CBEEAAAE98ZV

Select the “Redeem” button to get a login for an EA account. Log in with your EA account information that is linked to Mass Effect 2. Select Mass Effect 2 from the game list, and choose the desired bonus item. Repeat the steps with a new drpepper.com account to get the other bonus items.
